This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar local storage we use on Hermanoslicense.com, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences.

1. What Are Cookies?

2. Cookies and Storage We Use

Essential (always active)

These are necessary for the site to work and do not require consent:

  • Session cookie (PHPSESSID) — keeps you logged in and remembers your cart, selected currency, and the security token that protects your form submissions. It lasts for the duration of your session (up to 24 hours) and is marked Secure and HttpOnly.
  • Cookie-choice record — when you accept or reject analytics, your choice is stored in your browser's local storage (hl_cookie_consent) so we do not ask again on every page.

Functional (set when you make a choice)

  • Currency preference (hl_currency) — remembers the display currency you choose. Lasts up to 1 year.
  • Language preference (preferred_lang) — remembers the site language you choose. Lasts up to 1 year.
  • Banner dismissal (hl_dismissed) — remembers that you closed the language-suggestion banner. Lasts up to 1 year.

With your consent, we use Google Analytics (_ga, _gid) to collect aggregated statistics about how visitors use our website. These cookies are only set if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you click "Reject", Google Analytics is never loaded and these cookies are never placed.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site behavioral ad targeting.

Payment cookies (only at checkout / top-up)

When you reach the checkout or top-up page and card payment is available, our payment provider Stripe loads its secure payment library, which sets its own cookies (__stripe_mid, lasting about 1 year, and __stripe_sid, lasting about 30 minutes) for fraud prevention. These are necessary to process card payments securely and are only present on payment pages.

When you first visit, you will see a cookie banner. You can:

  • Accept — essential and functional storage remain active, and Google Analytics is enabled.
  • Reject — only essential and functional storage remain active; Google Analytics is not loaded.

Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clearing your browser's local storage and cookies for this site and reloading the page.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Google Analytics cookies, if you accept them, are subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Stripe payment cookies, set only on payment pages, are subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy. We are not fronted by a third-party CDN or security proxy, so no such cookies are set.
